One QR, every covered door
Your pass is a single QR code held in your phone. At each covered museum you show it at the entry and walk in — no separate ticket window, no second payment, no paper to keep safe across a long day.
See how entry works →e-Pass Museum turns the paper ticket into a single mobile pass. Choose the museums you want to visit, pay once, and a QR code lands on your phone — show it at the door and walk in. No printing, no separate queue at each museum, no fumbling for the right currency at every counter. Built and run from Shibin el-Kom by Menoufia Access Systems, the service is for independent travellers, families and student groups who would rather spend their day inside the galleries than standing in line outside them.
Tell us where you are heading and we will email back which museums your pass would cover and what it would cost.
If your trip takes in more than one or two museums, the old way means a fresh queue, a fresh payment and a fresh paper stub at every single door. The digital pass collapses that into one purchase and one QR code. Here is what it actually changes for a visitor.
Your pass is a single QR code held in your phone. At each covered museum you show it at the entry and walk in — no separate ticket window, no second payment, no paper to keep safe across a long day.
See how entry works →You pay once, in advance, for the whole pass — no working out the entry fee in cash at every counter, no surprise extra charges at the door. What you see when you buy is what your trip costs.
View passes →Every pass lists exactly which museums it covers before you buy, so there are no assumptions and no disappointment at a door that turns out not to be included.
Check coverage →The whole process is designed to be finished before you have left the hotel lobby, and to need nothing but the phone already in your pocket.
Pick the pass that matches your trip — a single region, a multi-region pass, or a group or student pass. The coverage page shows what each one includes before you commit a single pound.
Pay for the pass in advance through our secure checkout. The payment is handled by POST and your card details never touch a web address; you receive a confirmation by email immediately.
Your pass arrives as a QR code you can keep in your phone — in the email, saved to your photos, or added to your wallet app. The mobile pass guide walks through saving it offline.
At each covered museum, show the QR at the entry. It is scanned, you walk in, and the pass is ready for the next door. No reprinting, no re-queuing, all day.
Menoufia Access Systems is a small technology company in Shibin el-Kom that started, honestly, out of frustration. The founders kept watching visitors — and being the visitors — who spent a meaningful slice of a short trip standing in separate ticket lines, working out entry fees in cash, and keeping track of a fistful of paper stubs. The technology to fix that already existed; what was missing was a service that put it together in one place, in plain English, with the coverage stated openly before purchase.
So the pass does exactly that and no more. It is not a tour operator, not a guide service, and not a reseller hiding fees in the exchange rate. It is a way to pay once for museum entry and carry it on your phone. The full story is on the about page, and how the service is run technically is on the services page.
No. The whole point of the pass is that it lives on your phone as a QR code. You can save it to your photos or your wallet app so it works even without a signal. If you would genuinely prefer a printed copy you can print the QR yourself, but nothing requires it.
Each pass lists its covered museums before you buy — we never make you guess. The coverage page sets out every museum included in every pass, by region, so you can confirm your whole itinerary is covered first.
No, and we never claim to be. e-Pass Museum is an independent entry-pass service run by Menoufia Access Systems. We are not a government body and not the museums themselves; we are a way to pay for and carry museum entry digitally.
Passes can be changed or refunded within the terms set out on the refunds and changes page. Because a pass is only activated when first scanned, an unused pass is straightforward to refund.
Each person needs their own pass, because each QR is scanned individually at the door. For a family or a party of four or more, a single group pass issues an individual pass for everyone at a reduced per-person rate, and students travelling together can combine that with the student rate.
Check what is covered, choose the pass that fits your trip, and skip the queue at every door.
